Dr. R.S. Sethi

Additional Director of Research | Dean, College of Animal Biotechnology

Dr. R. S. Sethi is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. He has been serving as the Additional Director of Research at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana since March 2022. In addition, he holds the position of Dean, College of Animal Biotechnology at GADVASU since May 2025. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, contributing to international collaboration and academic exchange.

Dr. R.S. Sethi has played a key role in shaping education and research at GADVASU. He has served as Dean, College of Dairy and Food Science Technology (2022–2024) and as Head, Department of Animal Biotechnology (2018–2022). He has been a Professor at the College of Animal Biotechnology since 2012, after earlier contributions as Associate Professor in both Animal Biotechnology and Veterinary Anatomy and Histology.

His academic journey began in 1997 as an Assistant Professor at Punjab Agricultural University followed by a role as a Veterinary Officer with the Department of Animal Husbandry, Punjab. Over the years, Dr. Sethi has combined teaching, research, and leadership to build stronger links between veterinary science, biotechnology, and the dairy sector.
