  • InDeVet – Indo-German Veterinary Network
  • Actively contributed to the establishment of InDeVet, a collaborative network of three Indian and three German veterinary universities. Played a key role in signing of the MoU, participated in online coordination meetings, and attended the joint workshop (2025) at University of Leipzig, Germany, promoting international cooperation in veterinary education, research, and innovation. This initiative aims to foster academic exchange, joint research, and shared expertise between partner institutions across both countries.
  • WOAH Twinning Collaboration
  • Initiated collaboration with the University of Calgary, Canada to develop a faculty teaching program at GADVASU, aligning veterinary education with WOAH Day 1 Competencies. This led to a successful WOAH Twinning grant.

  • Served as a Visiting Scientist (October 16 to November 12, 2023) at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, where I significantly enhanced my expertise in research governance, strategic planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration through immersive academic and administrative engagements.

    Successfully completed the NSERC Canada-funded Integrated Training Program in Infectious Diseases, Food Safety, and Public Policy (ITraP), a key component of the global One Health initiative. Jointly conducted by the University of Saskatchewan, Freie Universität Berlin, and GADVASU, ITraP provided advanced training in infectious disease management, food safety, and public policy, equipping participants to address complex global health challenges through collaborative, cross-sectoral solutions.

  • NSERC Canada-funded Integrated Training Program (ITraP)

    Successfully completed the ITraP Program—jointly conducted by the University of Saskatchewan, Freie Universität Berlin, and GADVASU—strengthening capacities in infectious disease management, food safety, and public policy.

  • Pulmonary Immunobiology Lab

     Established the Pulmonary Immunobiology Lab at the College of Animal Biotechnology, GADVASU. First to immune-characterize pulmonary intravascular macrophages and report Neutrophil Extracellular Traps (NETosis) in buffalo, marking pioneering contributions to buffalo lung immunobiology.

  • COVID-19 High-Throughput Testing Facility

    Established Covid-19 testing facility at GADVASU which was recognized as High throughput lab by UNICEF. It is the only veterinary university in India that has achieved this reputation for which I got special honour.

  • DST-NIDHI Grant
  • Secured ₹5.0 crore funding as PI from DST-NIDHI to establish the Inclusive Technology Business Incubator (i-TBI) at GADVASU—the first of its kind at the university and in Punjab. This landmark initiative significantly boosts innovation and startup incubation in the livestock sector, while strengthening the university’s research, development, and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Academic Innovation
  • As Dean, introduced a new Tech (Food Science and Technology) program at the College of Dairy and Food Science Technology from 2024–25, with a NEP-aligned curriculum offering multiple entry-exit options. Developed strategic outreach campaigns, resulting in full enrolment and a significant intake increase in B.Tech Dairy Technology from 19 to 50 students.
  • Revenue Growth at Experimental Dairy Plant

    Spearheaded a thorough analysis of management practices at Experimental Dairy Plant, identifying key inefficiencies and implementing strategic improvements, resulting in a remarkable revenue growth from ₹19.6 lakhs in 2020–21 to ₹2.02 crores in 2023–24.
