Dr. R. S. Sethi is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. He has been serving as the Additional Director of Research at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana . He is currently serving as the Dean, College of Animal Biotechnology, GADVASU, since May 2025. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, contributing to international collaboration and academic exchange..

With over 29 years of professional experience, Dr. Sethi has held several key positions at GADVASU, including Dean (Additional Charge), College of Dairy Science and Technology (2022–2024) and Head, Department of Animal Biotechnology (2018–2022). He has been a Professor at the College of Animal Biotechnology since 2012, after previously serving as Associate Professor in both Animal Biotechnology and Veterinary Anatomy and Histology.

Dr. Sethi began his academic career as an Assistant Professor at Punjab Agricultural University in 1997 and has also served as a Veterinary Officer in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Punjab. His leadership, research contributions, and dedication to academic excellence have made a significant impact on veterinary biotechnology and institutional development at GADVASU.
